Abstract
Ethyl 3-(5-aryl-2-furyl)-2-azidoacrylates were prepared by reacting 5-aryl-2-furaldehydes with ethyl azidoacetate. Thermolysis of the prepared compounds gave 2-arylfuro[3,2-b]pyrrole-5-carboxylates.
