The synthesis and the mass spectra of 28,29,30-trinoroleanane derivatives with a double bond in the ring E or D

Abstract

A series of 28,29,30-trinor-18α-oleanane derivatives with two double bonds - 17(22) and 20(29) - was prepared. The position of the 17(22) double bond was demonstrated by partial hydrogenation of the diene on tris-triphenylphosphinerhodium chloride and by comparison of the product with an authentic sample. The mass spectra of the series of dienes I-IV and monoenes VI-X are discussed.
