Abstract

Reaction of 2-amino-3,5-dicyano-4H-pyran derivative I with triethoxymethane gives the corresponding 2-ethoxymethyleneamino derivative II which reacts with amines RNH2 to give 5H-pyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidines of general formula III. Spectral characteristics of compounds IIIa - IIIg are discussed.
