Minor alkaloids from Stylophorum diphyllum (MICHX.) NUTT.

Abstract
In addition to known alkaloids in Stylophorum diphyllum (MICHX.).NUTT., i.e. (-)-stylopine, (+)-chelidonine, coptisine, protopine, sanguinarine, macarpine, chelirubine, and (+-)-chelidonine (diphylline) the following minor alkaloids were also isolated: (+-)-stylopine, chelerythrine, corysamine, corytuberine, magnoflorine, (-)-β-N-methylstylopinium hydroxide and (-)-α-N-methylstylopinium hydroxide (the last three after conversion to iodides).Allocryptopine, berberine, cryptopine, isoboldine and scoulerine were detected in this material in trace amounts.
